Here are some tips you should keep in mind with your AC before the summer goes away so are well prepared for next summer!

Clean up around the exterior cabinet

If there are branches, leaves or any objects that gather around the outside cabinet of the AC, this can block the heat from the unit that will cause AC not working properly. Rocks can also cause damage to the cabinet. Make sure the cabinet area is clear for at least a foot even during the off season to prevent the damages.

Change the Air Filter

After using the AC the whole summer, your filter needs to be replaced. It is recommended that you replace the air filter every 1-3 months. If you haven’t changed the filter this summer, make sure you get it changed before the summer goes away!

Get Repairs Frequently

If you had any little issues with AC this summer and you didn’t bother to take care of it, you should call the technician to check on it before the issue gets bigger next summer, you never know what could be wrong with your AC. It is also a great idea to get a maintenance check before the summer ends!
